January's Event

Barbies Playhouse Tea Party

Our annual Tea Party is a special event where the girls of Barbie’s Playhouse can dress up in their best outfits, tea hats or fascinators, white gloves, and pearls, or even as their favorite Disney Princess.

The event teaches young girls the 3 P’s of being a princess—Poised, Polished, and Proper—through basic etiquette lessons and crafts. They also enjoy fancy treats and, of course, tea.

Held at a Four Diamond venue, the party is decorated with fine linens, silver, and china to create a royal atmosphere. Open to girls aged 5–10, registration is open to any girl who wants to join.

List Of Events

April's Event

Barbie's Playhouse Debutante Ball

Our Barbie’s Playhouse Debutante Ball is for older girls, ages 9–14, along with male escorts chosen by their parents. This event offers young girls a true Debutante experience. While the age range is younger than traditional Debutante Balls, the setting and details are the same: a Four Diamond venue, elegant decorations, fine dining, beverages, music, and dancing.

Debutantes wear solid white gowns with tiaras, and escorts wear tuxedos with crowns. This is our most exclusive event, and each Debutante can invite up to four guests to complete the “high society” experience.

Any eligible girl can join, but she must register during the open registration period as spots fill up quickly.

July's Event

Barbie Wants To Be Me Fashion Show

The Barbie Wants to Be Me Fashion Show is our most popular event and has been a part of Barbie’s Playhouse since the beginning. Open to girls ages 4–10, this show is designed to inspire confidence, self-expression, and a sense of limitless potential.

Held at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, attire is chosen by the parents to ensure each child feels comfortable. The show includes three segments:

  • Day Wear: A fun, colorful outfit

  • Career Wear: A costume representing their dream career

  • Evening Wear: A beautiful, floor-length gown

The girls are celebrated by a supportive audience, boosting their confidence in outfits that make them feel happy.

Any eligible girl can join, but registration fills up fast.

New July Event

Déjeuner en blanc by BPH

Barbie’s Playhouse wanted to add a fresh and exciting event, so we introduced DEB by BPH for a fun-filled experience. Inspired by the famous Diner En Blanc, this event includes all the classic details.

Before the fun begins, guests enjoy an elegant picnic meal. Open to the public, DEB by BPH allows 12 girls to invite a friend. The girls and BPH team are then bused to a private, secret location—no parents allowed—where they can run, play, and dance until they drop.
